Senior Test Automation Engineer (Lead)

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Test Automation Engineer with lead-level experience to drive quality strategy across our engineering organization. Key responsibilities include:

Leadership & Strategy: Lead and mentor a team of 3–6 QA engineers, define QA strategy/roadmap/automation standards, drive shift-left testing culture, and partner with engineering managers and architects.

Test Architecture & Automation: Design and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for UI, API, and performance testing; establish coding standards and reusable component libraries; architect test data management strategies.

Hands-On Execution: Write and maintain automated test suites across web, mobile, or backend systems; integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI); perform root-cause analysis on failures.

Reporting & Collaboration: Define and report QA KPIs (test coverage, defect escape rate, automation ROI); communicate quality risks to stakeholders; collaborate with DevOps on infrastructure improvements.

Requirements: 8+ years in software testing, 3+ years in a lead/senior role; deep expertise in Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or RestAssured; strong programming in Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#; CI/CD integration experience; API testing (REST/GraphQL) with Postman or Karate; solid understanding of QA methodologies and SDLC. Preferred: k6/JMeter/Gatling, AWS/GCP/Azure, Docker/Kubernetes, BDD frameworks, ISTQB certification.
